Ruth Wood

Ruth joined VWA in February 2026 as a Consultant on the Permanent team. She works closely with clients and candidates across permanent business support roles, taking pride in offering a thoughtful, relationship led approach and delivering a seamless recruitment experience.

Prior to joining VWA, Ruth spent four years in buy side M&A sales, specialising in the sale of Financial Advisory businesses. She began her career as an Associate at an Executive Search firm, where she placed c-suite professionals into Wealth Management, Insurance, Fintech and Private Equity. These roles gave her valuable insight into fast paced, high performing environments and developed her naturally consultative style.

Ruth holds a Business Management and Marketing degree from Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University.

Outside of work, Ruth is a keen foodie who loves exploring London’s restaurant scene and trying new places to eat. She also enjoys visiting art exhibitions and going to the theatre, whether it is a musical or a ballet.
