Ruby Hargreaves

Ruby joined VWA in April as an Associate Consultant within the temporary contracts team. She supports the full recruitment lifecycle, from resourcing, screening and interviewing candidates through to managing relationships with both clients and candidates. Alongside this, Ruby provides comprehensive administrative support including advert writing, CV formatting, onboarding and background checks, as well as supporting temporary workforce administration and payroll.

Prior to joining VWA, Ruby completed an MSc in Clinical Microbiology at the University of Nottingham, building on her undergraduate degree in Food Science. Alongside her studies, she gained experience in a customer facing sales role, where she developed strong communication, organisation and relationship management skills in a fast paced environment.

"I really enjoy the people‑focused nature of the role and the opportunity to communicate with a wide range of candidates and clients every day. Building relationships, having meaningful conversations, and helping connect people with the right opportunities is something I find genuinely rewarding. I also value being part of a supportive and collaborative team, particularly in the fast‑paced environment of temporary recruitment, where no two days are the same."

Outside of work, Ruby is a keen animal lover, particularly when it comes to cats, and enjoys any opportunity to spend time around them. She also likes travelling back to Nottingham, attending the occasional Nottingham Forest match, and spending time cooking, baking and experimenting with cocktails. More recently, she has developed an interest in learning about wine.
