Meet the Team - Hannah

What is your role at VWA and how long have you been part of this awesome team?

I am the Research and Administration Associate – I have been here since the beginning of July!

Can you please briefly describe a day in the life of a Research and Administration Associate?

My job really varies, some days I am helping with payroll and finance. I call a lot of potential candidates to chat with them about their job search before registration, I assist with marketing and social media. And then any ad-hoc help that any of the consultants need!

What is your favourite thing about your job?

I love the fact that everyday is different, and I really enjoy chatting to candidates on the phone.

What is your least favourite thing about your job? Careful ha ha!

Any day when Felicity’s dog, Simba, is not in the office.

What were you doing before you joined VWA?

I used to work in art! I was a researcher for a large auction house, and was a personal assistant to a curator.

Do you have a favourite restaurant in London?

I love Rita’s in SoHo, they do a fantastic pickle Bloody Mary.

Can you please describe your perfect Sunday?

A walk, good food, and a good film with my housemates.

Which is your favourite season and why?

Definitely autumn, I was born in October. I love seasonal change, I am very fair and can’t bear the summertime, so Autumn and Spring suit me best!

Dog? Cat? Neither?

I have a beautiful (and quite naughty) Vizsla named Nutmeg.

If you could jump on a plane to anywhere in the world today, where would you go?

Anywhere with beautiful art and history, top choices would be Florence or Japan.

Do you have any special talents?

I am extremely good at finding the best things in Charity Shops – I used to volunteer in one whilst I was at University.

What is your favourite cocktail/mocktail?

Spicy Margarita, and then the day after a Bloody Mary.

Do you have a favourite movie?

No, too many to choose. But I always come back to watching Gladiator, Scream, or Call Me By Your Name.

Do you have any hobbies?

I play netball 3 times a week, I’m an avid reader and also love going to exhibitions whenever I can.

What was the last TV box set you binged on?

I am currently watching The Perfect Couple on Netflix with my housemates – I’d highly recommend!

Do you have anything you’d like to learn? For example DJ’ing or a musical instrument? Line-dancing?!

Line-dancing would be fantastic, then I can live out my 10 year old dream after watching the Hannah Montanna film.

Finally, do you have a fun fact that might surprise us about you?

I once came third nationally for shotput – unfortunately, that was the beginning and end of my potential Olympic career.
