The City

The Client:

A commodities firm based in the City are looking for a Receptionist/Admin assistant to join the team. The firm operate globally and there are approximately 80 people based in the London office. The firm are based in beautiful offices with amazing views across the City.

The Role:

This role is a standalone position and the duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Office Manager with a range of duties including overflow support to the administrative team (likely to include diary support, arranging travel, expenses processing)
  • Meeting and greeting all visitors to the firm in a personable and professional manner
  • Act as a central point of contact for reception and FOH operations
  • Provide refreshments to guests
  • Answer and screen incoming calls appropriately
  • Manage meeting rooms
  • Organize new joinder photos and staff passes
  • Support office colleagues with organizing the weekly breakfasts and lunches
  • Work with the office manager to maintain office supplies
  • Support with ad-hoc tasks

The successful Receptionist/Administrator will:

  • Have a muck-in and collaborative attitude
  • Have previous experience within a corporate environment
  • Have professional and personable communication skills
  • Be extremely organized and able to manage different priorities
  • Have a good knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively alone and also as part of a team
  • Be able to problem solve and think on their feet

  • Standard hours are 8:30am-6pm (with paid overtime when it is occasionally required)
  • Fully office-based
  • Hourly rate up to £19.20 (dependent on experience), plus holiday pay
