Receptionist

The client:
A successful and growing global financial services firm are looking for a Receptionist to join their London office at the beginning of February as their current Receptionist will be going on maternity leave. This is a standalone receptionist role, although the facilities employee will often sit alongside the receptionist.
The role:
Receptionist duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Meeting and greeting all guests and visitors
- Maintaining the reception area and meeting rooms to 5* standards at all time
- Managing a busy switchboard (directing and fielding calls)
- Management of the meeting room calendar
- Ownership of the Reception Inbox, ensuring that emails are responded to in a timely and professional manner
- Visitor management
- Supporting Facilities/IT with the creation of new starter passes
- Sorting and distributing mail and also arranging outbound courier services
- Coordinate catering and special events when required
- Maintaining office supplies
- Ad hoc administration
The successful receptionist will:
- Have excellent communication skills (both in person and over email/phone)
- Have previous Receptionist experience within a fast-paced environment
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Be professional and personable
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team but also independently
- Must be able to juggle many different priorities and work well under pressure
- Be able to think on their feet and able to use their initiative
- Create a great first impression for the firm to all visitors
The details and Benefits:
- Standard hours are 9:30am - 6:30pm
- Salary is up to £36K (depending on previous experience)
