The client:

A successful and growing global financial services firm are looking for a Receptionist to join their London office at the beginning of February as their current Receptionist will be going on maternity leave. This is a standalone receptionist role, although the facilities employee will often sit alongside the receptionist.

The role:

Receptionist duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting all guests and visitors
  • Maintaining the reception area and meeting rooms to 5* standards at all time
  • Managing a busy switchboard (directing and fielding calls)
  • Management of the meeting room calendar
  • Ownership of the Reception Inbox, ensuring that emails are responded to in a timely and professional manner
  • Visitor management
  • Supporting Facilities/IT with the creation of new starter passes
  • Sorting and distributing mail and also arranging outbound courier services
  • Coordinate catering and special events when required
  • Maintaining office supplies
  • Ad hoc administration

The successful receptionist will:

  • Have excellent communication skills (both in person and over email/phone)
  • Have previous Receptionist experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Have a high level of attention to detail
  • Be professional and personable
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team but also independently
  • Must be able to juggle many different priorities and work well under pressure
  • Be able to think on their feet and able to use their initiative
  • Create a great first impression for the firm to all visitors

The details and Benefits:

  • Standard hours are 9:30am - 6:30pm
  • Salary is up to £36K (depending on previous experience)
