VWA Search was founded in 1989, initially with the aim of helping graduates embark on successful careers. As the company evolved, our ambition became to provide a level of service expected in the world of Executive Search whilst operating at the contingency end of the recruitment market.

We are determined to add substantial value to the recruitment process, which has become more and more influenced by technology. We use our sound judgment, honed over years of experience and anchored in our strong interviewing and assessment skills, to find, identify and attract the best people for our clients’ vacancies. We are excited by building successful teams and making great matches resulting in happy and fulfilled candidates and clients.

Meet the Team

Victoria Wall, CEO

Victoria set up what is now VWA Search in 1989. Recruiting for a broad range of organisations in the financial services sector, pharmaceuticals, management consultancy and the media, Victoria developed strong experience in advising on organisational change, recruitment and development programmes. Today, she oversees VWA Search as CEO.

In 1994, Victoria established VWA Consulting, where she works with FTSE 250 corporations, leading private equity investors and hedge fund managers in the areas of management assessment, leadership coaching and the design and facilitation of training programs. She has conducted a wide range of work including executive coaching, management assessment, talent mapping, team building and facilitation of strategic off-sites.

Jill-Newey
Jill Newey, Finance Director

Jill is VWA’s Finance Director and is responsible for both our London based businesses. Originally from Leeds, Jill moved to London to continue her studies and develop specialities in accounting and financial administration for small and medium-sized businesses. VWA is a big part of Jill’s life and what has kept her with us is the people and the challenges of keeping a firm hand on an ever-evolving company.

Simon Crow, Managing Director

Simon spent nine years working in the City. Since 2002, he has been working on the VWA temp desk covering a broad spectrum of industry sectors and disciplines.
As Managing Director, Simon is responsible for maintaining VWA’s reputation in the markets and for evolving and growing the business. He believes passionately that people are our most important asset and provides our team with a happy and harmonious atmosphere at work.
A graduate in economics, Simon is Saville & Holdsworth trained in competency-based interview and appraisal techniques. Simon is a sport enthusiast and can regularly be seen out on the rugby field.

Libby Booth, Research Consultant

Since joining VWA in 2006 as a graduate trainee, Libby has been a stalwart of VWA’s temp desk. Originally from Cornwall, she studied communication studies and psychology while working for Cornwall and Devon Media as an advertising consultant. Libby finds that developing relationships with clients and candidates is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role. Libby’s network of candidates is large and growing as she focuses on candidate resourcing since having her three boys.

Manjinder Kang
Manjinder Kang, Consultant

Manjinder ventured into recruitment soon after graduating, and has never looked back. She can safely say that recruitment is her passion, and building long-term partnerships with her clients, candidates and colleagues is second nature. Manjinder has worked across various sectors including Finance, Property, Luxury Brands, Media and Non-Commercial organisations. She gets great satisfaction from understanding clients’ and candidates’ briefs, and from finding the perfect solution for both sides.

BROOKS-Amanda
Amanda Brooks, Consultant

Amanda joined in December 2012 bringing a wealth of experience from her background in executive search, where her focus was on the equity and fixed income markets.After studying Business and Finance Amanda began her career in advertising. She moved into search in 1993 and since has combined her business experience, fascination with what motivates people and her natural empathy to match individuals with organisations’ requirements.

Amanda holds the British Psychological Society Level A certificate in Aptitude Assessment and the level B certificate in Occupational Personality Training.

Rosa von Fürstenberg, Consultant

Rosa joined in 2001 initially working on the temp desk. From February 2006 onwards, she has been a permanent consultant developing a loyal and varied client base. She spends her time between London and her native Germany, and is living proof that in this modern world, remote working can be highly effective. Rosa is bilingual in German and English, speaks reasonably good French and a little Portuguese. She is SHL-trained in competency-based and biographical interview techniques.

Claire Ashley, Consultant and Head of Client Relations

Claire joined VWA Search in 2018 with a wealth of recruitment experience, which includes 17 years with two of our competitors in the secretarial and business support market. In addition, Claire worked in luxury retail recruitment  for five years and recruited graduates and trainee lawyers for a Magic Circle Law Firm for two years.

Claire has a long association with VWA Search, as Victoria found Claire her first temp job in London way back, working for an estate agency in Chelsea. She also set her up on her her first permanent interview at a US investment bank!

Claire holds a degree in Business Studies with Marketing. She is delighted to be able to use her strong skill-set at VWA Search, where the team are so professional, focussed and true experts.

Melissa Woodthorpe Browne, Research Consultant

Melissa has been working as our research consultant since 2015. Having joined VWA as trainee consultant in 1999, she excelled on the permanent desk in subsequent years, working as a Consultant. She has very high standards of excellence which she applies rigorously when interviewing and selecting candidates to join our candidate base. Always on the look out for new sources of talent and evolving technologies, she is a vital part of our resourcing machine.

Jessica Eley, Research Consultant

Jessica graduated from the University of Exeter with a 2.1 in history in 2018 and joined our temp desk in September. She has developed excellent customer service skills whilst working at M&S during her studies. Jessica is a keen volunteer, spending time at Keech Hospice for Children in St. Albans in her free time. We are delighted to have her on board to support the temp desk with vital resourcing and research support.

Francesca  Massetti
Francesca Massetti, Consultant

Francesca graduated from University College London in 2007 and quickly found her first permanent role at Inter Exec. After three years with the firm, she moved to the prestigious executive search firm Saxton Bampfylde as Project Coordinator. Working within the health and media teams, Francesca developed her abilities and worked to highest standards. Next, she worked for the Zygos Partnership supporting a partner. She joined the temp desk at VWA in the summer of 2014, bringing with her excellent client facing skills. She also supports Victoria Wall in a PA function.

Nicholas Coleridge-Watts
Nicholas Watts, Consultant

Nick joined our temp desk in January 2016, already a known entity having been both a candidate and a client of VWA’s. After completing both a degree in history and a graduate diploma in law, Nick became one of our most active temps. We placed him permanently at The Blackstone Group in 2012 where he worked as HR Assistant. He has been heading up the VWA temp desk since early 2017.

Hannah King
Hannah King, Consultant

A graduate of 2015, Hannah joined us in July 2016 as candidate resourcer, before being promoted to a full consultant’s role in the spring of 2017. A music graduate, Hannah has shown her philanthropic side by performing with The Choir With No Name in 2011, with most other participants being some of London’s homeless men and women. A quick learner, Hannah has added great value to our candidate base as a resourcer and, equally, quickly got to grips with the duties of a Consultant.

Jane Todd, Credit Control

Jane is our credit controller – and you would be pushed to find a nicer lady for this, or any other job. She has previously worked in a variety of sectors including social services and BA cabin crew  – which have given her manyfold insights into people in different situations. After retiring from flying after ten years, Jane enrolled on an eight-months accounting course from which she  graduated with flying colours. Jane has successfully applied the theory to the corporate world and is integral to our accounting function.

Samantha Daniels, Research Consultant

Samantha joined our permanent desk as a Research Consultant in 2018. She is passionate about Sociology, which she studied at the University of York, combined with Criminology, and thus with the effects of society on individuals. At Uni, she could often be seen talking to future students about her chosen field in her role as Marketing Ambassador for Sociology, all the while gaining experience in addressing groups of people and communicating her expertise. Sam has various internships under her belt, working at a solicitor’s for example, and at a school.. Sam loves music – she has been known to play the keyboards although she feels more comfortable simply enjoying music and long country walks.

Felicity Ambler, Consultant

Felicity graduated with a business degree from Newcastle in 2017. An entrepreneurial student, she set up a student babysitting agency whilst at University. She also interned at a HR Consulting firm during the second half of her final year. Felicity became a sailing instructor in 2009, a challenging job requiring initiative, communication skills and leadership skills. She loves travelling and has spent time touring South and Central America, working in a hostel bar en route. She also worked as a Court Attendant at Wimbledon in 2014 – a famously demanding and challenging summer job with a gruelling selection process. One of our more sporty Consultants, Felicity likes skiing and working out at the gym.

Chelsey Clark, Office and Temp Desk Administrator
Chelsey is from Canada. She grew up in New Brunswick and gained her first work experience in the family business, duties ranging from cleaning cars to data entry. An avid reader who manages to get through ca. 50 books a year, Chelsey also enjoys writing. She wrote and edited reviews and more for Bulletproof Solutions, a finance and IT consultancy. She has a degree in English and Comparative Literature and has worked as a volunteer at the Arthritis Society in Canada. After graduating, Chelsey joined the family business on a full time basis, working as a financial services consultant for over six years. She then came to London and has been enjoying the local vegan and international foods she could not get in New Brunswick.
