Victoria Wall's vision to establish a recruitment business focused on delivering an unrivalled service was fuelled by the shocking and inaccurate career advice she was given whilst at University. Having read Business Studies and specialised in Human Resources, the career counsellor recommended 'she join the army to become a cook!' Whilst for some, more outward bound types, this would have been relevant career advice, for Victoria it only led to her researching if there were any recruitment businesses in London that offer 'decent career advice' to graduates. The answer was none...
And so in June 1989, after three years of working for a reputable recruitment consultancy in London, Victoria set up Victoria Wall Associates Ltd (VWA). Victoria's mission back many years ago, remains the same today:
'to interview ALL candidates in order to assess their strengths and weaknesses, in order to then provide them with honest career advice and realistic insight into the job market' and
'to provide ALL clients with a full search service that involves understanding what your business does, why you are hiring, and what success looks like in the role. However junior or senior the role, our shortlist will be made up of candidates we have interviewed, and assessed (a rarity these days!), and who match the job spec' accurately in terms of their skills and experience.
In order to maintain our exceptional levels of personal service, integrity, and knowledge of our clients and candidates, we have employed a small, highly experienced team of Consultants in London and in Singapore. Some of us have worked together for up to 15 years, and consequently we share combined values and goals, giving them great job satisfaction and ultimately benefiting our clients.
